Brian Rashid and Fred Rooney are the co-founders of
Living Legacies, a storytelling and community engagement initiative dedicated to
preserving the histories, values, and contributions of the people and places that
shape our communities. Together, they bring a unique combination of narrative
storytelling, civic leadership, and community development experience to the work of
documenting and celebrating the stories that might otherwise be lost to time.
Brian Rashid, a filmmaker, journalist, speaker, and founder of Love
Letters to the World, has spent more than a decade producing films, articles, and
community-based storytelling campaigns across the United States and around the world.
Fred Rooney, a nationally recognized attorney, advocate for social
justice, educator, and social entrepreneur, has devoted his career to expanding access
to justice, supporting community development, and building institutions that
strengthen neighborhoods and create opportunity.
Through Living Legacies, they combine the power of storytelling and community
engagement to create lasting records of the people, organizations, and movements
whose impact deserves to be remembered for generations to come.
